Join Venture Outdoors and members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for About Boating Safely. This course gives participants the knowledge needed to obtain a boat license or safety certification in Pennsylvania.
Topics include: general information about boats and maintenance, navigation rules and aids to navigation, guidelines for operating your boat or PWC safely, what to do in case of boating emergencies and state-specific laws and regulations you must follow.
Cost includes lunch, book, certificate and card of completion.

Spirits of the River Festival is a benefit festival to raise money for operations of the borough of Ohiopyle. Ohiopyle borough has no income from over 1.5 million visitors each year.. no paid parking, no additional sales tax..
So in order to help keep toilets flushing and our river clean...along with other operations. We hold this festival to help raise money, and in the first three years raised $57,000 to help with repairs to our sewage plant, fix the town park playground, and help finally bring high speed internet into Ohiopyle.
So if you love Ohiopyle.. come to our festival and help us raise money to help Ohiopyle borough, our fire department and our community center.
WELS adventure program is a fantastic way to get our young people unplugged from tech and outside in Fayette County’s awesome nature. This program takes kids hiking, climbing, rafting and more with incredible mentors and volunteers from our community.
